π Traceability
What is Traceability?β
The Traceability feature allows you to search for matches of your file across different social media and messaging platforms. It helps identify if your content has been shared or published on social networks.
Importance of Traceabilityβ
Traceability is useful for knowing if your content has been shared on social networks.

Traceability Resultsβ
Match Statusβ
At the top, you will see an information banner:
- "No known matches detected" (green with β): No matches were found on any platform.
- "No traces": The traceability process has not yet run.
- "Possible matches detected: (red with x): Traces were found that the file has been used on a platform
Social Platforms Analyzedβ

- π± WhatsApp
- π₯ Facebook (mobile and web)
- πΈ Instagram (mobile and web)
- βοΈ Telegram
- π¦ X (formerly known as Twitter)
- πΊ YouTube
- π΅ TikTok
Interpretation of Percentagesβ
Each platform displays a percentage of similarity:
- 1.0%: Very low probability of presence
- 10-30%: Low-medium probability of presence
- 40-60%: Medium probability of presence
- 70-90%: High probability of presence
- >90%: Very high probability of presence
The percentage indicates the probability that the file has been previously used on that specific platform based on traces found within the file itself. Higher values ββsuggest greater certainty that the content has been used there.
Re-run Traceabilityβ
If you need to refresh the traceability results:
- Go to the file details
- Click "TRACE FILE" again
- The new scan will overwrite the previous results
Re-running traceability will replace the previous results. No history of previous scans is retained.
Process Statusβ
During the traceability scan, the status in the list will show:
- queued β³: In a queue
- processing βοΈ: Currently searching for matches
- OK β : Analysis completed successfully
- Error β: Error during search
- Alert β οΈ: Completed with warnings
Processing Timeβ
Time varies depending on:
- File size: Larger files take longer
- Content type: Videos usually take longer than images
- Platform availability: Response times of external services
- System load: The task may need to wait in a queue
